School Board Meeting

Harmony Day Picnic

Harmony Week celebrates Australia’s amazing cultural diversity and celebrates all the ways in which Australia is a multicultural country, and how different cultures work together to create communities. Every year at Mount Lawley Primary students can dress in orange-coloured clothes, as this is the Harmony Day colour, or in their National Dress, celebrating “Everyone belongs.”

Mount Lawley PS would like to invite families to come and celebrate with their child or children at school by sharing lunch.

This will be a picnic style on the school oval for Pre-Primary to Year 6.

You might choose to bring a lunch box like your child or bring a bigger picnic for your family to share.  You could also bring picnic rugs to enjoy celebrating a special day.

School Assembly - Year 6 Room 2

Hosted by the students in Room 2 in the Undercover Assembly Area.

Parents are welcome to attend.

Kaboom Percussion In School Activity

Kaboom Percussion In School Activity

Students from Year 1 to Year 6 will be attending a performance at school by Kaboom Percussion.

The show is designed to inspire and amaze, showing the exciting possibilities of music through the fascinating world of percussion.

The show is interactive – the audience is an integral part of the performance! It features a range of traditional and found percussion instruments, with a focus on creating incredible music with simple and common instruments and objects and demonstrates how easily students can make music with things in their own environment.

Some of these ideas will later be used in making music activities in class.

For more information on how to provide permission and payment, please see your Connect notices.
