There is a strong sense of community, parent support and involvement in our school. The school community, through the School Board, plays an active role in reviewing the strategic school direction whilst our dedicated P&C contributes to the social and financial wellbeing of the school.
The school’s P&C Association is an active parent community which works collaboratively to enhance student learning and school programs. The P&C has a number of subcommittees including Social and Fundraising, and Uniform. The subcommittees coordinate a number of initiatives and activities for students and parents throughout the year including:
- Classroom parent representative initiative
- Classroom assistance
- Uniform shop
- School Banking
- School disco
- School and interschool activities
- Netball program
- Dads and Kids Camp Out
- Progressive dinner
Throughout the year the P&C’s fundraising activities enable the school to purchase many new resources to enhance the learning programs of our children.
Parents assist the school in many ways including participation in school and community committees, assistance in the classroom, especially through our Learning Assistance Program (LAP), coaching and officiating at sporting events, assisting with excursions and being involved in fund raising activities.
The input, commitment, advice and moral support provided by parents and community members is something that we all acknowledge and of which we are proud.
